Yeşim Akmeraner Kokat

Post-doc

Yeşim Akmeraner Kökat is a post-doctoral assistant of the Institute of Marketing and Communication Management (IMCA) at the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society. She received her Master's degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University (METU). She holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from Istanbul University with a focus on advertising agencies. She spent a period of her doctoral studies at Università degli Studi di Perugia as part of her Erasmus mobility.

Yeşim's research focuses on the interplay between data analytics and creativity in marketing communication agencies, the impact of data-driven market dynamics on advertising and marketing professionals, and the valorization of consumer/user subjectivities. She has a special interest in “Italian autonomism”, which builds the critical framework of her research.
